Research Abstract	1) 強相関電子物性グループ(三宅、北岡、大貫、菅) CeCu_2Ge_2が15GPa程度の圧力下で示す超伝導転移温度のピークはCeイオンの原子価が急激に変化することに伴う新しい現象であることを理論的に指摘した。このタイプの超伝導機構は他のCe-系物質が圧力下で示す超伝導の機構と深く関連しており、今後の研究の発展が期待される。(三宅) 2次元強相関電子系Sr_2RuO_4がp波三重項超伝導体であることを確認した。重い電子系超伝導体Ce_<1-x>Cu_2Si_2系での反強磁性からd波超伝導への電子相変化を解明した。2Gpa、65mKまでのNMR実験技術開発に成功し、Ce_<0.975>Cu_2Si_2の磁気転移温度の圧力依存性を解明した。三角格子量子スピン系LiNiO_2が、軌道の縮退効果に起因して低温まで磁気秩序を示さない「量子無秩序状態」にあることを示した。(北岡) 重い電子系超伝導体UPt_3において、約5Kから発現する反強磁性相関が50mK以下で1500Å以上の長距離に発達すること発見した。100m_0におよぶ重い電子を含むすべての主要フェルミ面の検出に初めて成功した。他の重い電子系超伝導体URu_2Si_2とUPd_2Al_3に関して世界で一番良質な単結晶が育成された。(大貫) 高エネルギー分解能光電子分光の手法によりいくつかの希土類化合物ならびに遷移金属化合物について電子状態の研究を行ない、Yb_4As_3,CeNiSn,CePdSnの電子状態については理論的に解釈可能な結果を得た。また、電荷整列をおこした反強磁性絶縁体Nd_<0.5>Sr_<0.5>MnO_3において、100meVのギャップの観測に成功した。(菅) 2) 閉じ込め電子相関相グループ(伊藤、張、冷水、邑瀬) CuCl超微粒子の閉じ込め励起子の共鳴発光に占める散乱光成分の割合を調べた結果、励起子緩和過程において電子・格子系の有限性を反映したノンマルコフ過程の重要性を示した。ZnCdSe量子ドット発光の明滅現象に関してその頻度が温度に強く依存することを見出し、オージェ過程による量子ドットのイオン化以外の機構の存在を示した。微結晶の発光を100K以下で測定できる近接場顕微分光装置を試作した。(伊藤) 励起子やフォノンなど素励起の誘起分極による励起エネルギーへの寄与を議論するための理論形式を、バルク・閉じ込め系、電子励起・格子振動等に共通に使える形に定式化した。その応用として、球状の領域に閉じこめられた励起子の準位構造をサイズの関数として計算した。また、薄膜における4光波混合の信号が励起子共鳴の近傍で異常なサイズ増大することを指摘した。(張) (775)B GaAs基板上に分子線結晶成長したGaAs/N-AlGaAs変調ドープ量子細線構造の電気伝導特性は準1次元電子伝導を示すことを見出した。また、超平坦界面(411)A GaAs基板と(100)GaAs基板上に作製した変調ドープGaAs/N-AlGaAs量子井戸のホトルミネッセンスの比較より、縮退した二次元電子と界面のラフネスにより局在したホールの再結合として説明できる現象を見出した。(冷水) 低温・強磁場下の2次元電子系で観測される分数量子ホール効果におけるエッジ状態の存在を磁気キャパシタンスの精密測定により直接検証し、その幅を初めて測定した。その結果、分数量子ホール効果状態での電子の閉じ込めポテンシャルやエッジ状態の空間分布にも電子相関による多体効果が重要な役割を担っていることが分かった。(邑瀬) 3) 超高圧電子相グループ(天谷、那須、鈴木) 中間圧力領域(1GPa〜5GPa)の技術開発により、CeCu_2Ge_2が圧力下で示す反強磁性喪失後の超伝導転移点の増大を確認した。また、CeRu_2Ge_2及びCeRh_2Si_2の圧力下における磁気相転移が調べられた。一方、100GPaを超える超高圧下、圧力誘起金属化、超伝導性の探索実験においては、固体酸素に引き続き、CsI結晶の金属化・超伝導化が220GPaまでの抵抗の圧力変化、及び一定圧力下の温度変化により験証した。(天谷) 固体酸素の電子状態を局所密度汎関数近似に基づいて第一原理的に計算し、約100GPa以上の圧力では、バンドオーバーラップによる分子性の常磁性金属状態が実現され得ることを明らかにした。(鈴木) 強磁性体の金属鉄(α-Fe)の高圧相(ε-Fe)は常磁性体であるが、その温度300Kにおける^<57>Feメスバウアー分光測定からα-ε,相転移圧力を精密に決定した。(那須)
