Research Abstract	今年度は国際共同研究プログラムのGAME(GEWEX Asian Monsoon Experiment)の立ち上げから5年目にあたるため、GAME国際科学推進パネル会合を7月に開催して、これまでの研究成果の報告を行い、今後の方向についての検討を行った。その結果、GAMEの観測データにもとづく解析的研究とモデリング、および一部の継続観測を行うためのフォローアップ研究プログラムの必要性、データのアーカイブと整理・公開のための機能の必要性などが強く提言された。 9月にはGAMEの親プログラムであるGEWEX水文気象パネルの会合で、GAMEの進捗状況の報告を行った。会議では、国際的な研究プログラムにおけるGAMEの役割とデータについて、各国関係機関、関係の国際プロジェクトから、大きな期待と要請が出された。 12月には、GAME国内研究集会を主催・開催し、約100人の関連研究者による研究成果の報告と、今後の研究の総括に向けた討論を行った。その他、GAMEのサブプロジェクトであるGAMEチベット、GAME熱帯、GAME-Hubex,GAMEシベリア、GAME-AAN(自動熱収支観測ネットワーク)、GAMEデータ情報ネットワークなどの国内・国際ワークショップの開催や、連携研究の推進を、それぞれの計画班と協力して行った。また、GAMEのこれまで科学成果をまとめた論文23編を、日本気象学会英文誌Journal of Meteorological Society of Japanの特別号として刊行した。
