Research Abstract	1.北グリーンランド氷床深層コア掘削解析計画(NGRIP計画)への参加:グリーンランド氷床深層コアの総合解析から過去の地球環境情報を取得することを目的とし、北グリーンランドにおいて掘削された氷床深層コアの解析を実施している。本年度はグリーンランドにおける掘削・観測は実施しなかったが、前年度までに掘削した深層コアの解析を継続して実施した。連続フロー化学分析によって取得した一次データの解析を行い、最終氷期から後氷期への移行期における化学物質の変動を季節変動の時間スケールで詳細に復元することができた。 2.カナダ、マウントローガンにおける雪氷コア掘削及び氷河観測:北太平洋域における過去の気候環境変動の復元を目的とし、カナダ、ユーコン準州のマウントローガンにおいて標高4135mのキングコル地点で220mの深さまでの雪氷コア掘削を実施した。また、これに関連して、掘削孔温度の測定、雪尺観測、測量、歪み方陣の設置、ピット観測、気象観測等を実施した。ピット観測の結果、キングコルにおける積雪量は2000年夏から2001年春までの間が約5.1m、2001年夏から2002年春までの間が約1.1mと、年によって大きく変動することが明らかになった。また、中国からの黄砂がマウントローガンまで頻繁に輸送されることが分かった。雪氷コアについては現在までに60m深までサンプルの切り出し、融解作業を終了した。
