Research Abstract

この領域で,これまでに得られた研究成果をまとめると以下のようである.1)不均質震源モデルの特性化を行い,強震動予測のレシピを既往の地震を対象として検証した.2)コンクリート地中構築物の耐震性向上策と,地盤の液状化および流動化に対する対策法を開発した.3)鉄筋コンクリート建物の性能基盤型耐震設計法のための新しいモデルや評価法を提案した.4)RC部材の損傷と残余耐力や構造物の動的不安定性と崩壊特性を実験と解析により解明し,鋼構造骨組の耐震設計法を提案した.5)インテリジェント免震・制震構造を開発するとともに高機能材料を用いた高じん性構造の開発を行った.6)構造物の健全度モニタリング技術と地震時損傷の検出・評価法を開発し,構造物の信頼性向上策に関する研究を実施した.7)社会基盤の災害リスク軽減のために多元的な地震時性能評価手法を開発した.8)GISやGPSを用いた危険度評価法と波形記録を活用した実時間災害制御システムの開発を行った.9)大震災では「すまい」と「つながり(人と人やコミュニティー間の連携)」が復旧困難で間接被害額が直接被害額に匹敵することが判明した.10)災害後の社会における多様な災害対応例を収集し,対応策を政策化した.
総括班連絡委員会の活動として,総括班会議を平成13年度は4回開催し,研究課題の成果報告を行うなど,各計画研究の進捗状況の把握と研究相互間の調整を行った.なお、平成13年4月には日本側の研究成果の確認と計画研究相互間の研究調整ならびに研究成果の統合に関する相互理解を深める事を目的として第1回国内ワークショップを開催した.また、国際的な研究者を育成することを目的として若手研究者の米国派遣を行っている(12年度は8名派遣).広報委員会の活動として,ホームページを立上げ,各計画研究の研究内容と日米共同研究の進捗状況ならびに関連する各種の情報を公開している.なお,平成11-13年度半ばまでの成果については平成13年度8月15,16日に日米合同ワークショップを米国シアトルで開催し,研究成果の発表を行うとともに,8月16日の午後に日米合同の評価委員会を開催し,おおむね研究計画に沿って研究が進捗しており,現状の組織で研究を推進することに対して前向きの評価を得ている.
