| Research Abstract |
ここに申請する特定領域研究の研究課題の分担者は、非平衡系物理・非平衡系生物グループ(蔵本,松下班)、非線形波動グループ(西田班)、数理解析グループ(西浦、俣野班)の研究班の代表者からなっている。各班で得られた成果は、非線形非平衡系に現れる時空複雑パターンの理論解析、生物系に現れる時空間パターンの多様性の考察、非線形波動に対する計算機援用解析法の確立、無限次元力学系の縮約化法等であり、各々の詳細は各班の実績報告書で説明されている。
総括班としては各班の研究課題を越えて総合的な研究テーマに焦点を絞り、1.パターンダイナミクスの縮約技法の共同開発とその応用(蔵本、西浦、俣野)、2.大域的分岐構造の解明と複雑時空パターン(西浦、西田)、3.化学反応系に現れる複雑時空パターンと生物系の成長パターンの統一的理解(蔵本、松下、西浦)を進めてきた。
この一年間に得られた結果の大半は年度末の公開シンポジウム、日本応用数理学会誌Japan Journal of Industrial and Applied Mathematics(vol.18,2001)で発表されている。
なお,広報活動として、4ヶ月毎にニュースレターを発行しており、今年度代表者および分担者によって開催された国際会議、ワークショップ、学校などすべて公表されている。
