Research Abstract

本研究領域は、様々な酸素活性種の構造と反応性を分子レベルで明らかにし、その反応性を制御する方法を確立することにより、水を電子源とするクリーンな光エネルギー変換を達成するとともに、酸素活性種による新しい高効率かつ高選択的な物質変換手法を開発し、さらに酸素活性種の生体内分子論を解明して、その臨床応用に関する展望を見いだすことを目的としている。研究計画に基づき、「酸素活性種の分子論と反応制御」に関する研究を総合的に推進した。特に、各研究グループ間の協力体制を強化するため、情報交換や装置の共同利用を頻繁に行った。その共同研究の成果は着実に出てきている(研究発表参照)。グループ全体としての研究成果報告および研究打ち合わせについては、平成13年秋に研究代表者の増田秀樹が開催した第34回酸化反応討論会の前日(10月31日)に全体会議を開催した。
諸岡は、錯体化学的および触媒化学的な両者の視点から、各研究グループの研究成果を総合的に評価し、今後の研究展開に関する助言を行った。また、福住は、領域代表者として、研究全体の展開に配慮しながら、効率的な研究の展開を図った。
