| Research Abstract |
The aim of our research project is to reconsider the contemporary environmental ethics and to confront its practices with the theoretical results of the philosophical anthropology, which was initiated in 1930s' Germany.
To attain this end, we exploit "property" and "ownership" as the key concepts of our research. We reached the tentative conclusion that we should examine the significance and peculiarity of modern idea of private property.
During the term of our project, we held the intensive symposia twice; firstly on the possibility of universalizable environmental ethics (October 23, 1999) and secondly on the interrelationship among life, environment and technology(October 20, 2001).
