Research Abstract |
First, we made a sample descriptive Japanese grammar with XML markup. And we made a validation of the markups with the DTD. Next, we analyzed the content of the main verb and noun phrase. And we make a translation XML to HTML, LaTeX, XHTM with XSLT. Our conclusion is as follows. 1 XML format is suitable for Japanese descriptive grammar. 2 XHTML is the best method for Web based descriptive grammar. 3 The description of the grammar rule is better than the other descriptive grammar which is not encoded. This research project show that annotated descriptive grammar is very useful for linguistic study.
