Research Abstract	まず,4次元C^∞級多様体から3次元ユークリッド空間へのジェネリックなC^∞級写像について研究を行い,いくつかの新しい結果を得た.まず,もっとも簡単な特異点である「定値折り目特異点」しか持たない写像について考察し,そのような写像を許容する4次元多様体の微分構造について調べた.そしてそのような写像を(4次元C^∞級多様体として)許容する複素曲面を完全に決定することに成功した.さらに,4次元多様体から3次元ユークリッド空間への一般のC^∞安定写像についても詳しく調べ,そのStein分解の多面体としての局所的構造を完全に決定した.さらにそういった安定写像の特異ファイバーの位相型を詳しく調べ,それらの個数に関する新しい結果を得た.いままで特異点の個数に関する公式はいくつか知られていたが,特異ファイバーの個数に関する公式はこれまでになく,この結果は大域的特異点論の今後の発展に大きく貢献するものと思われる.さらに,今まで知られていなかった特殊な性質をもつ安定写像を具体的に構成することにも成功した. また,平面への安定写像が与えられたとき,その持ち上げとなる余次元2の埋め込みが常に自明なものになる十分条件についても調べ,新しい結果を得た.また,単体写像に対する2色定理と,それに関連するオイラー標数公式を導き出し,それを安定写像に応用して,特異点の個数に関する新しい結果も得た. 今後は,複雑な特異点を消去できるかどうか,その障害について調べることが課題であるが,そのためには特異点のみでなく,特異ファイバーの挙動に注目することも必要であることが本年度の研究で明らかとなった.これについて詳しく調べてゆくのが今後の研究計画の一つである.
