Research Abstract

代表者は,近代的な単葉関数論として捉えたRiemann面の等角的埋め込みを軸として研究を展開したが,物理学との関連では,Rankineの卵と呼ばれる流体力学的現象を単葉関数論において調べた.また,増本と共に,双曲的距離を用いた極値問題を考察し,Riemann面の上に作用する自己等角写像のなす不連続群の基本領域を構成する新しい方法を与えた.これらの結果の一部分は,これまでの結果と方法の概観などと併せて日本数学会の招待講演において報告した.伊藤は,非線型差分方程式の保存密度を求めるアルゴリズムを開発しREDUCE上へのインプリメントを行い,佐藤と共同で主成分分析を因子分析の代用とする際の因子数決定方式の正当性を調べた.太田は,Pfaffian代数を用いて多成分非線形Schrodinger方程式を離散化しその解の挙動を明らかにした.岩瀬は,水環境汚染物質の測定など物理的実際的な問題における統計的研究を行い,金子と徳永は流体力学の実際と応用を海流と乱流とにおいて研究した.那須および鄭は力学系および記号力学系の研究を行った.水田は,単調なSobolev関数の境界挙動を調べ,正則関数に対するLiouvilleの定理を多調和関数の場合に拡張した.長町はFourier超関数の核定理や正則関数の境界値,超関数量子場などについて研究し,米谷はFourier解析と正値作用素の理論を用いてWaveletの微分可能性に関してHolder指数に対する評価式と精密な数値結果を得た.増本は,種数有限なRiemann面に,極値的長さを使って新しい等角不変量を定義し,その性質を調べた.特に,閉Riemann面上のホモロジー類の極値的長さは極数のみによる代数的関係式を満たすことを示した.
本研究の今後の展開をより確固たるものとするために,レヴュアーとして中国およびドイツから2名を招聘し,代表者や分担者の研究についてレヴューを仰いだ.本研究を有機的なものとするのに非常に有益であった.
