Research Abstract

偏光モード(ウォラストンプリズム)を導入して、偏光撮像を可能にした。
今年度は撮像(1999/6、1999/10)観測と、偏光分光観測の二つの観測モードを立ち上げた。2000/2月にUKIRTで4夜観測を行ない、(1)分光偏光(直線および円偏光)、(2)分光観測の二モードで完全に動作することを確認した。
本研究課題である広帯域偏光撮像観測は、本年度、ハワイ大学UH88望遠鏡、および連合王国UKIRTを用いて行なう予定である。
