Research Abstract |
The chicken is a useful animal for the development of the specific antibodies against the mammalian conserved proteins. In this study, we generated construction of expression vector for chicken single chain fragment of variable region (scFv), named as pCPDS, and two types of chicken scFv antibodies specific for prion protein. In the Western blotting and ELISA analysis, the recombinant monoclonal antibodies were reactive to prion protein from mouse brains. In the foundamental examination for immuno-PCR using phage displayed chicken monoclonal antibody, furthermore, these antibodies were detectable to prion protein peptide with high specificity.
