Research Abstract	3年間の研究期間の初年度として本年は,症例の選択,アスベスト定量法の試験的施行,およびパラフィン材料を用いたPCR法の改良を重点的に行った。症例の選択については,当初は1970年代前半5年間の40例,および90年代中期5年間の40例,計80例,さらに対照群として,年齢・性別をマッチさせた同期間の非肺癌切除肺20例ずつ計40例,総計120症例を選ぶ予定であった。しかしその後の検討で,アスベスト消費量の対照群としては70年代よりも50年代の方が消費量が少なく適当であること,および腺癌の分化度ごとのアスベスト量の違いを見たいという理由から,50年代の肺癌9例,70年代52例,90年代60例の,計121例を選んだ。アスベストの定量に関しては,産業医学総合研究所作業環境計測研究部(神山宣彦部長)での測定を開始した。 PCR法の改良では,古いパラフィン材料を用いて,nestedPCRの際の内側のprimersをいくつか設計し,最も効率よく増幅できる条件を検討している。また,optimizersを用いて古い材料からのDNAを効率よく増幅することを試みている。
