Research Abstract

It suited pursuing resolution between the high-spatial-resolution of the performance limit in 1999 using the gradient coil of MRI for research of currently possessed, and a highly efficient through rate. Between the high-spatial-resolution of the first year, the concrete achievement target of resolution should be 50 micrometers and the target of the 1st phase was the creation of the spin echo method pulse sequence for achievement and the small volume coil aiming at mouse size are made as an experiment The possibility of resolution was experimentally examined between the further high-spatial-resolution from the result of the S/N measurement and the picture using such hard software. In 2000, high resolution imaging in the equipment for clinical of 1.5T, hybrid equipment was manufactured and adjustment and a check of the practicality were performed the highest of the picture which made the homemade coil for a saddle type MR microscopy and was obtained in the last year using the coil, and the result which resolution became about 30 microns per pixel, and exceeded far the prospective target value of 100 to 50 microns was obtained This resolution is considered from S/N expected by 1.5T, and is presumed to be almost close to a theoretical marginal value. However, high spatial resolution MR image, many problems which contrast, S/N and vibration, and a photographic subject should motion-etc.-solve are left behind future with the equipment for clinical of 1.5T, high spatial resolution by enforcing the optimal pulse sequence for imaging examines the possibility of clinical application furthermore, between the resolution obtained using development of a highly efficient high sensitivity probe, simultaneously pathology data, etc. It is thought that it is necessary perform comparison examination with an high resolution MRI picture and to perform clinical technical evaluation in parallel
