Research Abstract	研究期間において、口腔乾燥症を呈する患者の唾液腺の機能障害や種々の画像診断学的所見と唾液中一酸化窒素(NO)量とを比較した。その結果唾液腺の機能障害と画像診断学的所見との間には特に超音波診断、MR診断において高い相関が認められた。また、上記の画像診断(超音波、MR)とX線を用いた唾液腺造影法との間にも非常に高い相関が認められ、このことは、超音波診断やMR診断のような患者のX線被爆をともなわない診断法が従来の唾液腺造影法に将来的にはおきかえられる可能性を示唆していると考えた。一方、唾液中のNO量は個人差が著しく、また測定の時間(食前、食後、あるいは月経中か否か)によっても大きく変動するため唾液腺機能との一定の相関を検討するにはいたらなかった。これの成果は、学会で発表すると共に論文にして、報告した。(AJNR 20、1737-1743、1999;J Rheumatol 27,1222-1228,2000;AJR 175,829-834,2000;Ann Rheum Dis,61,276-277,2002;AJR, in press)
