Research Abstract |
The objective of this study is to complete a micro probe to observe microcirculation that have been developing by our group using CCD and to analyze the influemce of artificial circulation, especially its flow pattern on microcirculation. The following results have been obtained. 1) Aspherical lenz having 4.2 mm in diameter, 4 mm long and 3 times magnification, was designed and was made of acrylic resin. 2) A micro probe for observation of microcirculation was made by molding the lenz with a CCD unit using epoxy resin. The focus of the living tissue was able to adjust by turning a tranparent stage to mount the tissue. 3) The probe was implanted into a goat. A subcutaneous connective tissue was mounted and fixed on the stage after adjustment of its focus. The microcirculation image was sent to a TV wirelessly. 4) The microcirculation was observed continuously for 24 hours. It was proved that the behavior of erythrocyte and leukocyte could be observed clearly. Howevere, at the same moment, it became a problem that the mouted tissue was sometimes out of focus by the body movement of the goat. A remote focus mechanism is now designing as the next turget. 5) As the other evaluation method of microcirculation, arteriole and venule of bulb conjunctiva was taken in a photograph. The diameter of arteriole and venule abd their ratio was analysed. 6) The microcirculation of bulb conjunctiva of a goat implanted a undulation pump total artificial heart was observed for 53 days. It was clarified that this analysis method was a good evaluation method of microcirculation.
