Research Abstract

本研究は,GPSによって計測される列島の変位・ひずみデータを逆解析することによって,列島各地域の広域応力分布と構成則を推定することを試みる.研究代表者は,「構成則がいかなるものであれ応力はつり合い式を満たす」ことを利用して,表面で計測されたひずみ分布から応力分布を逆解析する手法を提案しており,この手法を用いて列島の広域応力分布の推定を行う.今年度の主要な成果を以下に整理する.
入力としてGPSデータを取り込み,データからひずみ分布を計算し,ついでひずみ分布に対応する応力分布を逆解析するプログラムを開発した.このプログラムでは,GPSデータの専用ネットワークにアクセスして,全GPSステーションによって計測された変位を取り込み,そのデータを用いて応力分布を計算する一連の作業が自動化している.応力分布の推定精度を向上させるために,GPSステーション毎に計測された変位データの空間的相関を利用して誤差を除去すること,数値計算において計測データや推定応力分布に高次の内挿関数を利用して計算誤差を減少させること,等の工夫を行った.このような改良を経たプログラムに対し,数値解析の計算精度の目安を求めた.この精度は,衛星計測される変位データの誤差程度に見合うもので,十分な精度で応力の推定が可能であることを実証している.さらに,プログラムを実際に走らせ,1年間のデータを用いて地域毎の応力分布と構成則を計算し,また,1日の計測データを用いて日々の応力分布が変動していく状態を計算した.計算結果の妥当性の検証には,実測されている地質構造・地殻構造や他の逆解析結果との比較が必須であるが,このような数値計算結果は,少なくともプログラムの有効性を示すものと考えられる.
