| Research Abstract |
好熱性シアノバクテリアの改良と耐熱性タンパク質の単離解析をおこなった。
(1)無菌化した好熱性シアノバクテリアSynechococcus(Thermosynechococcusに変更)elongatusを、かずさDNA研究所に提供し、ゲノム解析に協力した。グルコース輸送体の遺伝子をクローニングし、プロモータをつないで、導入した。
(2)光化学系2の遺伝子(psbV,psbX)の破壊株を作成し、それぞれの遺伝子産物を含まない光化学系2複合体を単離解析した。これによって、酸素発生活性を保持した変異型系2複合体を単離することを実証した。また、PSII-Xタンパク質が系2複合体の電子受容部位にかかわること、psbVの下流に新規c型チトクロム遺伝子を見いだし、その機能を明らかにした。
