Research Abstract |
As the research for the buddhist concepts in the taoist scriptures of Liuchae〜Tang period, I mainly did research in "Haikongzhizang-jing", one of the taoist scriptures written in the early Tang pesiod, This scripture contains many elements of buddhist origin, and we can find in it the evident correspordences to buddhist scriptures such as Mahaparinirvana-sutra, Vimatakirti-sutra, Mahayan asamgrha and xiangfajueyi-jing. To make a comparative study of Haikongzhizang-jing and these buddhist scriptures, I compiled a concordance to Haikongzhizang-jing and made the contrastive tables by which we can earily compare the passages of the taoist and buddhist scriptures. In addition, I read a paper on the concept of karman and retribution in the taoist scriptures of Liuchao period and the early buddhist tradion in Jiangnan region. And I also made a study of the taoism during the peniod of the Dowager-Empress Wu Zetian's reign.
