Research Abstract |
This study intends to clarify the articulation among technical high schools, technical colleges, university faculties of engineering and professional training colleges from the viewpoint of their education al system, curriculum and local position. This study shows ; 1. Not a few students are going to have experiences of transition among them. 2. According to the interviews, those who transferred to faculties of engineering from technical colleges were more successful in professional education than the others. Because the curriculums are quite similar in both courses. 3. But they have the feeling of insufficiency in general education, reading ability in English for example, and in culture education. 4. Professional training colleges have special curriculum to obtain some qualifications. So they don't have any articulation with other institutions in curriculum. 5. University faculties of engineering offer remedial courses not only for graduates of technical high schools but for others. Further research is needed ; 6. Culture education gives some important influences to professional education at the articulation and transition.
