Research Abstract	3次元空間における結び目・絡み目理論において、TC1)2つの連結、既約な交代絡み目射影図が表わす絡み目がアンビェントイソトピックならば2つの射影図の交点数は一致するだろう、TC2)連結、既約な交代絡み目射影図の交点数は、その射影図が表わす絡み目の最小交点数に一致する、即ち、その射影図が表わす絡み目とアンビェントイソトピックな絡み目を表わすどんな射影図の交点数よりも小さいかまたは等しいだろう、という交代絡み目の交点数に関するテイト予想は、約1世紀を経た1987年に、カウフマン、村杉、ティスツルスウェイトにより、独立に、肯定的に解決された。向き付け可能な厚み付き曲面における結び目・絡み目理論において類似定理を求める先駆的な試みとして、1996年に鎌田直子はある仮定のもとにTC1)の類似定理が成り立つこと示し、その仮定は不要であろうという予想を発表した。本研究において、その予想を肯定的に解決し、その証明に用いたアイデアの応用として、(TC2)はTC1)を含むので)この方向での最終目標であるTC2)の類似定理を得た。これらの結果は、鎌田が論文において対象とした曲面および交代絡み目射影図と比較して、それぞれより一般的で広い対象について示されていることも強調しておきたい。また、分担者による、関連する基礎研究として、それぞれの専門分野(幾何学的トポロジー、位相力学系、無限次元多様体論、幾何学的群論、位相空間論、微分幾何学、多元環論等)における興味深い多くの成果が得られた。
