| Research Abstract |
原子や原子イオンの電子構造や原子過程は古い早くから研究されてきた分野であるが、信頼できる精密な計算データが提供できるようになったのはごく最近である。そこで、この方面に関する飛躍的な発展が期待された。本研究の目的は精密で信頼できる原子コードおよび計算システムを開発し、これを応用した計算を行い、周辺分野の原子データのニーズに応えると同時に、今までにないエキゾチックな電子状態や原子過程についての理解を深めることであった。
計算のためのコードとして、オックスフォード大学数学研究所のI. P. Grant氏と彼の共同研究者の開発になるGRASP92(General Purpose Relativistic Atomic Structure Program 92)を導入してベースとなる計算環境を整えた。これに加えて、非直交軌道関数系を用いての輻射遷移確率や無輻射遷移の計算、光電離や電子散乱の計算をするためには、他のコードが必要である。このためには、カッセル大(ドイツ)のDr. S. Fritzscheと共同で開発中のRATIP (Relativistic Atomic Transition and Ionization Properties)コードを完成させて使用することとした(S. Fritzsche, F. Koike, J. B. Sienkiewicz and N. このような、多電子原子イオンの電子状態間の遷移に対する相対論的な精密計算の計算コードを開発し、いくつかの系についての精力的な計算を行った。
