Research Abstract |
This project aims at design and application of multi-dimensional variable digital filters for image and video signal processing. Listed below are major results of this project : 1. Design and implementation method was proposed for highly accurate IIR variable digital filters based on state-space representation. 2. The design method included 2^<nd> order optimal realization, balanced realization, minimum norm realization. They were compared with variable digital filters with direct form and parallel allpass from in computational burden and tuning accuracy. 3. Design and implementation method were proposed for 2-dimensional variable IIR digital filters using 2-D separable-denominator transfer functions.
