Research Abstract |
This study focused on the design technique of reinforced concrete deck at middle supports of continuous steel-concrete composite girders. (a) Finite element for the steel concrete composite girder with partial interaction was formulated. Computer program for stress and deformation by creep and shrinkage was developed by Maple and MATLAB, and then parametrical computation were performed. Furthemore, two dimensional FE analysis(MARC) for creep and shrinkage analysis was carried out, and cpmpared with the results by partial interaction composite girder theory. (b) The ultimate behavior and crack analysis of reinforced concrete beam with polymer impregnatged concrete(PIC) were carried out, and the effect of ductility by PIC and crack control design at service limit level were studied. Furthermore, tied arch type composite slab composed of PIC, cast-in-place concrete and tie bar was investigated, it was found that tied arch type composite slab was favorable structures compared with the normal reinforced concrete slab. (c) For the reason of demand to reduce constructional costs, it is valuable to design the continuous composite girder supported by 2 main girders. In this study, data on table about the design criteria of continuous composite girder, the problems in actual design and the results of comparative calculation were offered. Furthemore, concrete stiffness of cracking zone at intermediate supports of continuous composite girder wes ealuated in considered to Eurocode.
