Research Abstract

From the fiscal 1999 to the fiscal 2002, four range vision four apparent tropistic endoscopes of visibility angle 195° (effective length 135mm, scope tube outer diameter 3.0mm, apparent direction angle 67° side apparent and visibility angle 67° ×2, strabismus and visibility angle 100° ×2) and four range vision three apparent tropistic endoscopes of visibility angle 135° (effective length 135.5mm, scope tube outer diameter 2.9mm, apparent direction angle 20° strabismus and visibility angle 100° ×2, visibility angle 95° direct-vision ×1 and contact apparent ×1) were assembled as trial products. What the most difficult point in order to accomplish this research is that the brightness and the resolution of the image were inferior as the result, because the four image guides, the fiber and the walking channel were arranged in the thin tube whose outer diameter 2.9mm - 3.0mm. Furthermore, the prism used in side apparent caused the fact that brightness of the image decreases considerably and that the image reverses. In order to improve the image, the roof type prism which obtains the reflected image was
