Research Abstract

This study involves the modification, trial and evaluation of elementary school environmental education instructional materials which focus on promoting pupil's international perspective on environmental problems. The materials consist of four units, Fish and Detergent-Water Pollution, >From What does the Oxygen derive? -Deforestation, Influences of automobile exhaust on plants- Air Pollution, and Burying Plastics-Waste Management. The results of the trial in school lessons showed that the materials were effective in understanding and promoting pupil's senses to daily environmental problems. But, except unit : Deforestation, they were not enough in promoting pupil's international perspective on environmental problems.
