Research Abstract |
During the past several years, both floods and droughts occurred frequently in Southeastern Asia and the Pacific region. By comparing the hydrologic features in different countries in the study region, this research aims at to examine these hydrologic events and find the approaches to solve those hydrologic problems. The following results have been achieved during the past year : 1). Hydrology and water resource database has been developed, 2). Hydrologic and environmental simulation model for river basins has been developed, 3). The regional statistics for hydrology and water resources has been estimated, 4). Frequency of abnormal hydrologic events has been analyzed, and 5). Water resource problems in several countries have been successfully investigated.
