Research Abstract	本研究は長崎大学と韓国・済州大学校との大学間協定に基づく国際共同研究である.目的は東シナ海と黄海での健全なる漁業資源の保全と育成を目指し,そのための基礎情報として海洋環境の解明と生物分布の把握を目的としている.今年度は共同研究の第1年目であったので,両校のこれまでの研究成果の交換と研究分担者間の交流を行った. 長崎大学側では,1999年5月に東シナ海陸棚斜面及びその近傍の海洋構造とプランクトン分布,底質中の海産パリノモルフ分布を目的の一部とした調査航海を水産学部付属練習船「長崎丸」によって実施した.これらの研究成果発表や交換は,長崎大学水産学部,琉球大学理学部,韓国・済州大学校海洋科学大学,中国・上海水産大学の四大学による国際ワークッショプ「2nd International Workshop on Oceanography and Fisheries in the East China Sea」が1999年11月25-26日に長崎大学水産学部で開催された機会を利用した.このワークショップでは海洋動態・環境に関して長崎大学から3件,済州大学校から1件,プランクトンに関して長崎大学から2件,済州大学校から1件,水産資源利用法に関して長崎大学から1件,海洋古環境に関して長崎大学から1件の成果が報告された.これらの論文はThe East China Sea,Volume 2;Proceedings of the 2nd International Workshop on Oceanography and Fisheries in the East China Sea"に公表された. さらに今年の研究の進め方について検討するために個別の相互訪問を実施した.長崎大学からは海洋堆積学と大型藻類学,水産資源学,プランクトン学の研究者が済州大学校を訪問し,済州大学校からは水族病理学研究者が長崎大学を訪問し研究成果の公表と研究協議を行った.
