Research Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to develop useful idea of the cultivation of aesthetic sensibilities and activity for people. Specially, we put artistic elements as the main factor of this city planning activity, in the same time we pay special attention to the condition of the artistic culture and the environments, maintain the city, landscape and so on. In the other words, our expecting is to develop the city as kind of art museum. As one solution of city planning, some designs have been published with artistic processing that has been increased in number, in this situation its necessary to research and analysis of this influence and changing of city development. The meaning of "developing city as art museum" is not simple as only put some sculpture works in front of the shopping center or public space, but also to create the whole artistic image and various activities of city. The result is to make art as city public property. In this case that when develop the city which is short of sightseeing resources and historic spots, cultures, it has been happened a lot of case is that cities have been developed by similar methods. The common problem is what kind of rule (core) we can follow to create the expression of city. By combine with this program, we believe it's possible to make arts as the public property, with artistic thinking that arts will be useful to get a share benefit for cities. In this research, as one of the whole processing methods for making arts to public benefits, mainly, we are going to report the process of any real practices and the results of the combining case of Toride city of Ibaragi prefecture and Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music as the core.
