Research Abstract |
We have introduced the new science and technology for the old ceramics as structural materials. I named the new ceramics as "Woody Ceramics" which have an ultra lightweight and a high thermal insulation with a reasonable mechanical strength. In concluding, the developed science and technology of the woody ceramics thus has shown potential applications to the white wears, cooking bowls, various porcelain arts, clay tiles and roofing clay tiles etc. The woody ceramics are partially made of volcano ashes, ecological material, and are believed to open new industry in the fields of the old ceramics.
