| Research Abstract |
本研究は、種分化のメカニズムにかんする検証をシミュレーションによる理論的研究と化石や分子系統による実証的研究の二つのアプローチから行った。前年度に作成した個体ベースの性淘汰のカノニカル・モデルの詳細な数値解析を行い、種分化が確率論的にどのような時に頻繁に起こるかを検討した。とくに、遺伝子数や個体数などの要因が種分化の頻度にどのような影響を与えるか、感度分析を詳細に行った。このモデルの基本モデルの様々なケースへの応用を検討した。特にその中でも、性淘汰による交雑帯の動態に関与するモデルとなりうるかを検討した。現在、そのモデル化を模索している。また、性淘汰に関連したモデルとして、宿主-寄生者のシステムにおける種間関係を考案した。ここでは、雌雄の性的好みの関係のかわりに、宿主と寄生者の間の相性の関係、つまり、宿主の抵抗性と寄生者の感染能力の関係を考えた。この場合の種分化の動態についてのモデル化を考案した。
実証的研究では、現世陸生貝類のミトコンドリアDNA及びシェルの色調・形態の分析から、系統関係の推定や棲息場所の影響を考察した。
