| Research Abstract |
乱数生成は主として数論的な考察から各種提案され、実用化されているが、そのランダム性の理論的保証は不確かであり、幾つかの独立性の検定を行いその善し悪しを判定しているのが一般的である。
我々の提案は、古典力学系の中の比較的単純な機構でランダムな系列を生成するものを利用して、乱数を発生することである。もちろん、現実の有限容量の計算機では近似的な意味での独立性をもつだけの疑似乱数であることには違いない。
極限における独立性が保証されている点にある意味での理論的保証がある。しかし、最も典型的なテントマップのように、独立性の保証と引き換えにあっと言う間に情報量を使い果たすことが起こる。そのため採用する力学系を慎重に選ぶことが必要となる。
今年度は、古典的力学系の中から、取り扱いの容易なものを選別することを、久保・那須・島を中心に検討し、計算機上で実現するための予備的計算を行っている。
また、久保・中田の下では、そのような乱数を利用したランダムアルゴリズムの研究を行っている。久保の下では、マルコフ連鎖のブロックカバー時間の研究とそのランダムアルゴリズムヘの応用、中田の下では、ランダム合意形成の問題を扱っている。
