Research Abstract	1 HIV感染に関連した口腔病変としてはカンジダ症がもっとも多いので、パラフィン包埋試料からPCRでCandida albicansを迅速に検出する方法を確立し、その結果は歯科基礎医学会誌に発表した。(Swe Swe Win論文) 2 ミャンマーのヤンゴン大学歯学部のSwe Swe Win博士、ベトナムのホーチミン大学歯学部のNauyen Thi Hong博士と「HIV感染者の口腔病変」というテーマで、それぞれの大学にてセミナーを行った。 3 HIV感染者に扁平上皮癌が発生しやすいことが知られているが、このときどのような遺伝子の変異がおこるかをLOHで検索するための実験を行っている。 4 HIV感染者にみられる毛状白板症の発生にはEpstein Barr ウイルス(EBV)の関与が考えられているが、本学の白板症についてEBVを検索したところ、約40%という高率でPCRによりEBVが検出された。現在さらにIn situ hybridizationや免疫組織化学で検索を行っている。
