Research Abstract	最近、炎症反応を媒介する接着分子、ケモカイン、Fcレセプターなどの分子群が次々に同定され、炎症反応の分子生物学は飛躍的な進歩を遂げつつある。しかし、各分野を越えての研究交流は比較的少なかった。このため本研究では、これらの研究を行っている第一線の研究者10名を集め、お互いの持つ新知見を交換するとともに、新しい戦略の構築にむけて統合的な活動を行った。特にわが国で発見された新規ケモカイン、Fcレセプター、接着分子間のクロストーク現象の解析、これらの分子を標的とした抗炎症剤免疫抑制剤の開発に向けて活動を行った。そして、その成果を公開することを目的として、平成11年12月21日(火)に大阪大学銀杏会館において文部省科学研究費基盤C1公開シンポジウム「炎症のバイオサイエンスの新しい展開」を行った。このシンポジウムでは全班員による公開発表を行うとともに、関連研究者、聴衆に対する啓蒙活動を行った。
