u Ohno (committee member of Japan Hiking and mountaineering Federation). We visited Shan State and carried out planning and investigation. Though these activities, we obtained information and knowledge necessary for this study and made up a study plan. 5 Japanese experts were dispatched to Yangon. After they had a meeting with researchers there, they went to Mandalay by air and mountain areas by car, which we granted by Foreign Ministry's grant-in-aid subsidy. They stayed at Long-Neck Tribe village for a week to investigate on 35 items like eating habit, favorite food, oral cleaning condition, oral mucous membrane disease, missing teeth. Through these investigations, situations of dental pattern and oral diseases were made clear. We also collect their blood. Our project was highly evaluated from 8 government officials including the Minister for Health who made official visit to Japan. Based on this result, we made up a plan to analyze human heredity of minority race common in both countries. Less
