| Research Abstract |
ポルフィリンは、ピロールを4個含む大環状パイ電子化合物である。この分子は緑色植物の光合成を担う重要な天然由来色素として知られているのみならず、近年では種々の光機能性色素として広範な研究が行われつつある。
本研究ではポルフィリン分子の性質を、より向上させる為の一手段として、多数個のポルフィリンを共有結合で連結させた多量体分子の設計と合成を行った。具体的には、p-フェニレン基でそれぞれのポルフィリン分子を連結させることにより、平面上の分子を得ることに成功した。その構造は、核磁気共鳴法と質量分析法によって明らかにした。可視紫外分光法により電子スペクトルを評価した結果、本研究で合成した分子は、座布団様の平面分子であることが明らかとなった。
