| Research Abstract |
平成12年度「発生システムのダイナミクス」総括班において本特定領域研究の推進方法について議論され、以下のように推進する方策がまとまった。本特定研究の特徴は、従来の発生生物学に系統的・網羅的視点を加えることである。また、進化における生物多様性の獲得機構の解明においてはゲノム情報の解読が必要となり、自ずと研究規模が大きくなる傾向がある。こういった大規模な研究を本特定領域研究だけで推進することは困難であり、特定領域研究(C)「統合ゲノム」や、日本学術振興会「未来開拓学術研究推進事業」および理化学研究所「発生再生科学総合研究所」であり、各研究組織と生物情報を共有し、重複を排除した効率よい研究を展開すべきとの合意が得られた。また、発生システムデータベース構築の一環として以下を計画することとした。
1.さまざまな生物における遺伝子発現データベース
2.EST、ゲノム情報、DNAアレイ実験結果とのリンク
3.現象ごとに細胞間相互作用、遺伝子機能やシグナル伝達カスケードを一覧できるデータベース
4.一般向けに発生現象の面白さを伝える教育的コーナー
