Research Abstract

本年度は、平成15年11月15〜16日に研究会を開催した。研究会では、神長英輔「『露領漁業』をめぐる歴史像の形成-『北洋』イデオロギーの起源」、石野裕子「フィンランド叙事詩カレワラ研究とナショナリズム」、浅村卓生「現代ウズベキスタンの演劇文化と政治」、吉村貴之「ソヴィエト・アルメニア成立期における民族運動と共産党の関係」、浜由樹子「『国民国家』批判としてのユーラシア主義-N.S.トゥルベッコイの言説を中心に」、ティムール・ダダバエフ「ウズベキスタンの地域社会-マハッラーから見た人権保護・確保」という若手研究者による報告が行われた。またロシア人の人類学者アンドレイA.ズナメンスキーによるロシア・アルタイにおける民族形成に関する研究報告および篠原琢によるナショナリズムとジェンダーに関わる問題提起的な報告「東欧史におけるナショナリズムとジェンダー」も得た。
平成16年3月15日に中央ユーラシアにテーマを絞った研究会を行い、秋山徹が帝政期中央アジアにおける遊牧民定住化をめぐる問題を、中村唯史がロシア人アイデンティティとカフカースの関係を、イスマイルザーデ・ギュルセルがアゼルバイジャンのアイデンティティについて論じた。
少なくとも近年のナショナリズム研究で強調される構築主義的な理解を基礎とする事例研究が積み上げられつつも、その枠内では収まらない事例の確認もなされたといえる。
出版活動しては、平成14年7月に本科研が開催した国際シンポジウムの報告をもととする論文集が平成15年11月に、また平成14年11月開催の研究会の報告書が平成15年5月に出版された。
