Research Abstract |
The purpose of this sutdy is to develop direct adhesion during curing between rubbers and polymer-plated metals being excellent in probability and environmental preservation and not being influenced curing systems and needing brass and zinc plating. Both peroxide and sulfur curing systems enabled the direct adhesion between acrylic rubber and metals polymer-plated with 6-diallylamino-1, 3, 5-triazine-2, 4-dithiol monosodium indicating next results. For direct adhesion, it is important that the polymer films of three order dimensional structure is formed on metals. Peel strength is influenced by film thickness and polymer plating conditions. Three components among curing agents, softening agents and carbon black show strong interaction for adhesion strength in the direct adhesion of rubbers with polymer-plated metals. The adherends indicated excellent heat, oil and water resistances. The structure of polymer films to obtain high adhesion strength in the direct adhesion of rubbers to metals was found to be that chemical bonds and present at the interface between polymer films and metals, between polymer films and rubbers, and polymer films have high strength.
