We have conducted the following five surveys of teachers. This is the first attempt to conduct a nationwide survey of teachers in Japan. (1) A natianwide survey of Japanese elementary and junior high school teachers. (2) A nationwide survey of school nurse teachers. (3) A nationwide survey of elementary and junior high school principals. (4) A nationvide survey of high school principals. (5) A survey of elementary and junior high school teachers in Ibaraki prefecture. It has been assumed that Japanese teachers are very homogeneous in consciousness in education, but data analyzes have shown that there are large local differences in attitudes and values in teachers.
