Research Abstract

廃棄物処分場からの浸出水には有害な化学物質が含まれうるため、周辺の土壌・地下水汚染を防止する観点から,処分場の遮水構造に関する地盤工学的照査が必須となっている。本研究では(1)廃棄物処分場底部ライナーに求められる機能の地盤工学的評価、(2)処分場覆土に求められる地盤工学的特性の解明、(3)我が国に適した廃棄物処分場設計手法の提案を行うことを目的とした研究を実施した。今年度に得られた成果は以下の通りである。
1.廃棄物処分場覆土に関する研究
廃棄物処分場における水分収支を室内試験で得られた材料特性,および不飽和浸透理論によってモデル化し、覆土層の施工による浸出水発生の低減効果を定量的に評価した。特に,覆土層の耐久性を評価するため,乾湿繰り返し条件下における遮水性の変化を遠心模型実験等により検討を行った。
2.廃棄物処分場底部ライナーに関する研究
底部ライナー材料として用いられるジオシンセティッククレイライナー,ベントナイトを対象として、各種汚染物質を含む浸出水が通過した場合における汚染物質と土中のイオンとの相互反応のメカニズム,および相互反応による材料の遮水性能への影響を室内透水試験,環境化学分析により評価した。また,化学物質に対する遮水性能の低下が小さい新たに開発されたベントナイト材料の適用性についても評価を行った。
3.我が国に適した廃棄物処分場設計手法の提案
1)底部ライナーにおいて相当の確率をもって起こりうる遮水シートの損傷による漏水のモデル化,および損傷部からの漏水に対しても遮水工全体として遮水性を担保する処分場構造の検討,2)海面埋立処分場における鋼矢板,ケーソン等による廃棄物埋立護岸の遮水性能の評価と適正構造の検討,の2つ観点から廃棄物処分場の遮水工の設計手法について提案を行った。
