Research Abstract |
Through this research, we aim to configure a synchronous/asynchronous educational network for the next generation with an eye on the future high-speed Internet era. (1) Configuration of interactive distance education system with low-cost broadband VSAT We have proved the realization of distance learning system with low-cost VSAT in the experimental distance lecture between Asakusa (Tokyo) and OPU (Osaka). (2) Voice-controlled distance education operation support equipment We have developed voice-controlled operation support equipment, which makes it easier for a lecturer to switch the media he uses during the videoconference. (3) User-oriented electronic textbook We have created a user-oriented electronic textbook, with which an individual user can have electronic data to meet his or her own need. (4) Automatic authoring system for WBT contents We have developed an automatic authoring system, with which when the lecturer finishes his lecturer using PowerPoint slides, a WBT material with DV images is produced instantly. (5) Authoring tool for WBT materials focused on Kansei information We have developed an authoring tool to express and transmit Kansei information, which is the most important in education.
