Research Abstract

The Purpose of this study is to develop integrated learning lesson plans according to mathematics and physics and to make clear the effectiveness of the teaching materials. In this study period, we have developed nine teaching materials using CBL(Calculator Based Laboratory) and Tl-83(Graphing Calculator). The goal of the teaching materials is for students to learn about the connection between mathematics and physics through hand-on activities. Furthermore, we carried out the exhibition class using these teaching materials for four times and evaluated the effectiveness of them.
It has clear that students' consciousness about the usefulness of equations has improved. In particular, the following two items improved. (1) Equations are useful in predicting data, except experimental data. (2) Equations are useful to grasp the physical meaning of an experiment.
