Research Abstract |
It is expected to manufacture amorphous micro-particles in the industrial field. The cooling rate is important to manufacture the amorphous micro-particles. Cooling rate occurred by vapor explosion is very high and is suitable to manufacture the amorphous micro-particles. In the present study, the possibility of the uItrasonic acoustic wave field for active control of fluid was experimentally investigated to control the vapor explosion for the amorphous micro-particles. It is clarified that a molten melt droplet with vapor film can be hold at a specified position by the ultra-sonic standing wave. It is demonstrated that the present technique for the holding and active control of fluid is applicable-for manufacturing amorphous micro-particles.
