Research Abstract	骨髄間葉系幹細胞を移植して軟骨・骨を再生させるには、間葉系幹細胞の分化能を亢進させることがのぞまれる。そこで本研究で発見した転写因子DEC1をアデノウイルスベクターを用いてウサギ間葉系幹細胞に導入した。DEC1を発現させた間葉系幹細胞は遠心管内のピペット培養系において、対照よりも早くかつ高レベルに軟骨分化を誘導した。この結果は、軟骨・骨の遺伝子治療にDEC1遺伝子が有用である事を示唆している。一方、BMP、TGF-βおよぴIGK-/インスリンがDEC1を誘導する事を見い出した。PTHrpは、その誘導を抑制した。また、MTf遺伝子を導入したトランスジェニックマウスを作成し、現在その系列を確立すべく飼育、繁殖させている。予備実験では、MTfトランスジェニックマウスでは精巣の機能の低下が観察された。
