Research Abstract |
The main purpose of this research is bring to light the organization of the classroom environment in Taisho Liberal Education of Japan. The movement aimed principally at the improvement of teaching methods and techniques. The teachers who played an important role on the movement, devoted themselves to the organization of the classroom environment. They replaced the old classroom with new one, where students were able to study of their own accord. The arrangement of chairs and desks in the classroom was suitable for debate, and the bulletin boards were prepared for students.
