フズリナ上科有孔虫類の分類体系の確立と画像データベースの構築

Research Abstract

日本国内でこれまで新種・新亜種として報告されたフズリナ類506種についての種名、原著、産地、層準、標本登録番号等の基本的データを含む文字データベースに対して、画像データの取り込みと入力を継続して行い、同時にその分類学的位置の再検討を進めた。特に、模式標本に直接アクセスできるものについては、その標本のデジタル画像を直接取り込み、その他の情報(産地や産出層準、リファレンスに関するデータ)とともに画像データファイルの作成を進めた。標本へのアクセスが難しいものについては、できるだけ原著図版より直接タイプ標本の画像を高解像度で取り込み、それを標本画像ソースとし、入力を行った。また、20世紀前半に報告された分類群の中には標本が失われたものもあるため、同地模式標本の採集が可能なものについては試料採集と薄片作成を行った。
国内におけるデータベースの充実とともに、アジア地域(主に東・東南アジア)からこれまで新種・新亜種として報告された分類群についての情報収集(文献検索)を継続して行った。この内、特にこれまで数多くの分類群が提唱されてきている中国からの分類データベースの構築が緊急の課題であるため、中国科学院南京地質古生物研究所の研究者の助けを借り、そこに登録されている標本の画像取り込みとともに、中国の地方出版物に記載された分類群の情報収集を進めた。これらの情報については、当面のところ基本的な文字情報(種名や原著、産地等)の入力を行い、同時に分類の整理・検討も進めている。
