Research Abstract |
Hydrous components in mantle-forming material can induce considerable change in deformation behavior, melting relationship and wave propagation of earthquake. In this project, we have investigated pressure-induced structural responses surrounding hydrogen atoms. In paticular, hydrous magnesium silicate and some hydrogen carbonate were investigated by vibrational spectroscopy and neutron diffraction at high pressure.
