Research Abstract

本研究では,ユーザ指向の品質特性である安全性および可用性を考慮したソフトウェア信頼性評価法について議論した.ここで,ソフトウェア安全性を「意図する機能が実行されるか否かにかかわらず,ソフトウェアの不安全な状態がないこと」と定義し,ソフトウェア可用性を「ソフトウェアが特定の時点で要求仕様通りの機能を維持している度合」と定義する.また,ソフトウェアの挙動を,ソフトウェアが動作している稼動状態と,潜在するフォールト(バグ)によりソフトウェアが期待どおりに動作しないというソフトウェア故障が発生して,ソフトウェアが動作できない保守状態という,2つの状態を交互に繰り返すものとして記述した.このとき,ソフトウェアの故障特性や保守特性は,ソフトウェア故障の発生回数やフォールトの修正回数に依存する.また,検出されるフォールトの複雑度は時間と共に高くなって修正時問も長くなるという,フォールトの修正困難度の変化も考慮する必要がある.さらに,ソフトウェアシステムが動作しているときにランダムに不安全状態に陥り,不安全状態である時間間隔もランダムであるとする,より一般的な環境の下でソフトウェア信頼性評価モデルを構築した.これらのモデルにおけるソフトウェアの時間的挙動はマルコフ過程を用いて記述され,いくつかのソフトウェア安全性およびソフトウェア可用性の定量的評価尺度として,ソフトウェア安全度,瞬間アベイラビリテイ,平均アベイラビリテイ,使用アベイラビリテイ,などのユーザ指向型信頼性評価尺度を導出し,実際のソフトウェアプロジェクトへの適用を目的とした.その結果,安全性および可用性を考慮したソフトウェア信頼性評価システムのプロトタイプを,ソフトウェア開発管理支援ツールとして作成することもできた.
