Research Abstract

平成25年度に実施した研究の成果としては、交付申請時に予定していた通り、2年目にあたる本年度は主に、前年度行なった研究継続とインタビューの実施に力を入れた。具体的な内容としては以下の通りである。
1. 前年度設置した"Trohoku Research Site"である、石巻、仙台、陸前高田、福島、南三陸に加えて、名取市閖上や、福島において原発問題に携わる方々など、多面的な角度から研究ができるよう、研究範囲を広げた。
2. 前年度同様、上記の地域にてインタビューを企画した。前年度の成果を含めてプロジェクトについて説明したためか、協力していただける機会が増えた。
3. 更なるインタビューの実施とデータの採集。前年度からプロジェクトに携わっている学生の数名に協力を継続してもらえたため、新しい学生の指導も当初よりスムーズに行えた。今年度もまた100本近くのインタビューを採集することに成功した。
4. 現在は、3で述べたように、データが増えたため、それらのテープ起こしと英訳を進めている。同時に前年度のデータとの比較研究も進めている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

In this fiscal year, we will carry out additional follow-up interviews with Buddhist priest in Tohoku and Tokyo and conduct participant observation of Buddhist kokoro no kea activities as we as training session for such activities. We will continue with data analysis and writing up. We will organize at least two panels on memorialization and recovery in international conferences and present our results in further academic meetings. We will submit at least two articles to the relevant peer-reviewed journals.
